Captain Joe Srouji Offers Fishing Charters On The Niagara River Lake Erie And Lake Ontario

At some point in everyone’s life, they discover their true calling, and for me, that moment came years ago. Fishing has always been my passion, but over time, I realized what I truly loved wasn’t just the act of fishing itself—it was sharing that experience with others. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll fish until I’m no longer able, but after dedicating my life to it, the excitement of fishing evolved into something deeper: teaching the next generation of anglers.

My journey began by taking my younger brother and sister out on the water, and then, soon after, sharing the experience with my children. Watching their faces light up as they caught their first panfish, bass, walleye, and salmon—hearing that reel scream and seeing their amazement as a steelhead leapt from the water—those moments filled me with pride. Every time I take someone new out on the water, I get to relive those precious memories all over again.

Fishing isn’t just my job—it’s my identity. As a full-time charter captain in the Niagara region, I’ve dedicated my life to this craft, teaching young kids the sport of fishing, and creating unforgettable memories for my clients. I take pride in sharing the thrill of fishing with people of all ages and skill levels, and I find true joy in introducing beginners to the world of angling.

Several years ago, I became a New York State Guide, specializing in fly fishing and center pin fishing, guiding clients through the incredible waters of the Niagara Region and Great Lakes Tributaries . The river became my second home as I fished it regularly, even when I wasn’t guiding. From summer nights chasing walleye to drifting for salmon and trout in the fall, winter, and spring, I couldn’t get enough. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby—it was my life.

In the fall of 2020, I took the next step in my journey and became a United States Coast Guard-certified Master Captain. Now, I can fully devote myself to sharing the Niagara region’s fishing opportunities with you as a professional guide.

This is my passion, and I’m committed to making every trip unforgettable. I pride myself on maintaining a top-notch, up-to-date boat and equipment, ensuring that everyone who fishes with me is safe and comfortable.
