River temperature 39° with little to no wind today. Near perfect conditions for late December Steelhead fishing. Fish were taken today on egg sacks, beads and minnows. water color near perfect with 4 to 5 ft of visibility.
River temperature 39° winds east at 7 miles an hour. Water color near perfect brown trout hit plugs mid river steelhead hit beads and eggs in the upper sections of the river. Brown trout are setting up on the Niagara Bar taking live minnows and plugs.
River temperature 39° winds west 5 to 10 mph. Water color near perfect after weeks of muddy water conditions. Fish were on the feed today after having low fishing pressure due to little to no angler pressure these past few weeks. Steelhead hit beads and eggs in the upper sections of the river.
River temperature 48.4° winds south under 5 mph. Trout fishing today was just epic. Bead bite was dominate for both Browns and Steelhead. Water was off colored but that seamed to help with fish not being line shy at all.
Heavy west winds, but the fishing was incredible. Water color was a chalky green, and the water temperature was 48.6 degrees. Plenty of steelhead and brown trout . Bead bite is all we needed to crush fish today.
Prevailing winds were big out of the west. We fished the Ontario shoreline for Brown trout, and were very successful. With the winds eventually turning Southwest, we started using plugs as opposed to beads. Once we got our Brown trout, we fished up in the faster water and hooked a good number of Steelhead.

But as the day progressed, big west winds and northwest winds kicked in the lake trout bite was insane, and we saw a good number of big mature steelhead to the boat. Water color today was a chalky green, which was perfect ten millimeter bright chartreuse,
South winds the day before off Erie sent dirty water into the lower river. Using wind to slip my boat sideways with silver and pink plugs worked for Brown trout in 23-27 feet of water. River temperature still holding at 53.8 degrees. Wind south 10 to 15.
River temperature 54 degrees water clarity, clear winds started out light, then picked up out of the north. lake trout bite in the upper sections, brown, trout bite in the mid section beads and bags took fish
Another day of 54 degree water produced great fishing in a six hour period seeing more steelhead to the boat with lakers coming in more and more winds were light out of the east water clarity was clear
River temperature finally got below 55° today. Typically, we should have been in that water temperature earlier this November lake trout, steelhead and Brown trout are in the river. The bite is now finally getting good. First 2 weeks of November, we're touch-and-go as hot days and clear skies were problematic
Niagara fishing report for 10/30/24. SW winds 20 mph gusting to 30mph. River temperature 59.8 degrees. Water clarity is still clear despite the wind. Plugs took fish all day using Mother natures trolling motor.
Niagara fishing report for 10/21/24. SW winds 15 mph. River temperature 60.2 degrees. Water clarity was perfect. Plugs took fish all day using wind to slip my boat sideways. Many lake trout caught with a bonus Chinook Salmon
Niagara fishing report for 10/16/24. The good news is that the river is cooling faster than in previous weeks. Today's water temperature was 60.4°. Big Northwest winds gave fish a pretty bad case of lockjaw. plugs were our saving grace which took more fish than live bait. No trout were hooked today
Niagara fishing report for 10/8/24. Despite having big Northwest winds, we're able to get on to a fairly decent bite today. Many bass cooperated throughout the day, and we even picked up a large, lower Niagara river walleye. Water temperature was 66° winds were WNW at 15 to 20 miles an hour.
Big southwest winds, couldn't drift bait in that current speed. Decided to drift plugs with the current, we were able to pick up some decent bass and a couple of really big walleye
Niagara fishing report for 9/27/24 Early morning, fishing was consistent and brought quality large fish to the boat. Once the Sun got up high and the sky got clear that bite slowly tapered down. Water temperature,70.4° winds, east, Northeast at 10 miles an hour upper stretches of the river. Is where I found fish .
Niagara fishing report 9/26/24. Morning bite has been good. Overcast days has definitely been the better bite. Water temperature 70.1 degrees. Northwest winds picked up and shut the bite right down
